At Social Dogs, we have qualified professional dog trainers specialising in canine behaviour, separation anxiety and anthrozoology. (To learn more about anthrozoology, click [here], and if you think your dog may be experiencing separation anxiety, please click [here].)

Our training is based on clinical ethology, animal welfare and up-to-date scientific knowledge. We have also trained with nationally and internationally recognised ethologists and professionals such as Tomás Camps, Xavier Manteca, Marta Amat, Claudia Fugazza and Mariona Monrós, among others. In the field of anthrozoology, we have trained with leading professionals including Marcos Díaz Videla, Paula Calvo and Nacho Maciel.

We use science-based positive reinforcement techniques grounded in clinical ethology, always placing animal welfare first. We work both at our centre in Calvià and in clients’ homes.

We are fully committed to helping both you and your dog understand and address the underlying causes of unwanted or inappropriate behaviours that may affect harmonious coexistence and social life, such as separation anxiety, destructive or aggressive behaviours, excessive barking, fears or stress. Our aim is to improve these behaviours and help you build an environment, a relationship and a bond that are as stable, safe and balanced as possible.

In addition to working with behavioural problems, we also offer guidance when choosing the right dog for your family and lifestyle, whether through adoption from a shelter or rescue centre or through a responsible breeder. We believe that making an informed choice and receiving appropriate support from the beginning can make a significant difference to future coexistence.

We also support families during the early stages of puppyhood, a crucial period when many questions can arise about how to respond appropriately. We help you establish solid foundations in areas such as socialisation, communication, emotional regulation, rest, play and everyday learning.

We also work on obedience and everyday education, not simply with the aim of having a well-mannered dog who is able to adapt to daily life, but also to strengthen the bond between dog and guardian, improve communication and day-to-day handling, help you better understand your dog’s needs and, of course, enjoy the process together and have a good time.
