Understanding and navigating animal loss grief.

Animal loss grief is the emotional process we go through when we lose a non-human companion who has shared our lives. Sadness, guilt, anger, or even a profound sense of emptiness are all natural responses to the loss of a deep and meaningful bond. Everyone experiences grief differently, and there is no “right” timeline for healing.

Grief support provides a safe and compassionate space where your emotions can be acknowledged without judgment, memories can be shared, and the loss can be processed in a healthy way. The goal is not to forget, but to integrate the experience and honour the bond you shared. Receiving professional or community support can ease feelings of loneliness or misunderstanding and help transform grief into a lasting expression of love and remembrance.

My role as an animal loss grief companion.

Your companion may no longer be physically by your side, but the bond you built over a lifetime deserves to be cared for and honoured, even in farewell.

I support people who are grieving the loss of a beloved animal by offering a safe, compassionate, and non-judgmental space where they can feel heard and understood. A place to express emotions, share memories, and give voice to feelings that can often be difficult to explain to those who have never experienced such a profound bond.

My goal is not to take away your pain, but to help you move through it with greater kindness and awareness, always respecting your individual pace and needs. Through emotional support and a range of tools and resources tailored to each person, we work together to find a meaningful place for your loss within your life story and to promote a healthy integration of the experience.

I understand the deep bond we form with animals and the lasting imprint they leave on our lives. That is why I offer support grounded in empathy, validation, and the recognition that pet loss is a form of grief that deserves to be seen, heard, and respected.

Because saying goodbye to someone we have loved is also an act of love, and having someone to walk alongside you through that journey can make all the difference.

No obligation.
